Transparent Monochrome

Transparent Monochrome technique is simply a reversal in the process of painting. Instead of adding paint to a canvas, the paint is removed from the canvas. Strokes of the brush are more “painterly” and less linear. Edges are controlled by eliminating the color with soft brushes, and a little finger painting. Time is precious when you use this technique, the medium starts to be testy after 30 to 45 minutes in even the most controlled Environments. There’s a fine line with this technique between a quality piece of Art and the Burn Barrel.
