Florida Landscapes
Like many kids growing up in North Florida, Keith Padgett, a native Floridian, spent a lot of time in the out of doors learning to hunt and fish and participate in a variety of water sports. During those early years, his natural talent compelled him to observe his surroundings through the eyes of an artist. Keith is best known for his signature paintings of Florida's Gulf Coast wilderness. His practiced attention to detail and expressive use of color captures ethereal beauty hidden within wild forests, springs, swamps and waterways of the South. In Keith's words, "I began painting to preserve the natural and cultural history of my home state. I believe I have an 'Old Soul' and I want to share the moods and feelings of 'Old Florida' with future generations."
